Main Fields of Research

Our group is interested in better understanding the immune functions of human skin under homeostatic conditions and in the setting of inflammatory and allergic skin diseases, especially atopic dermatitis and cutaneous drug hypersensitivities, especially Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis.
Our main focus is to explore the impact of the poorly investigated subcutaneous white adipose on these skin-based processes and how it may link skin diseases to systemic inflammation.
