Serum and cerebrospinal fluid specimens are examined by various methods to detect antibodies against the syphilis pathogen, Treponema pallidum. The combined results provide information on the activity, stage, and response to therapy of syphilis.

  • RPR
  • TPPA
  • IgG-Elisa
  • IgM-Elisa
  • SPHA-IgM

We also offer molecular detection of pathogens from genital, anal, and oropharyngeal ulcers (see STI/molecular biology).
